A cognitive map is a visual representation of knowledge that shows how different ideas, concepts, or processes are linked in the learner’s mind. It helps in organizing complex information, identifying relationships between concepts, and understanding how learning progresses from basic ideas to advanced principles. Cognitive maps are powerful metacognitive tools that support meaningful learning by helping learners visualize the structure of a topic rather than memorizing isolated facts. In my study process, I created two cognitive maps—one on motion in a plane in Physics and another on haloalkanes and haloarenes in Chemistry.

These days were not just about reinforcing concepts, but also about strengthening the bond we had built through weeks of teaching and learning together. The first day back at school went smoothly, with all regular routines and classroom engagements returning to their usual pace. Students were energetic after the holidays, and the overall atmosphere felt lively and positive. On Tuesday, the regular timetable was followed without any major changes. Classroom activities and school duties progressed just like any other typical school day. The same rhythm continued through Wednesday and Thursday, but with an additional responsibility. We were assigned to correct the answer sheets of Standard 9 students, specifically their Christmas examination Chemistry paper . It was a meaningful task that provided deeper insight into students’ performance and understanding of the subject. On Friday, we ...

This week’s schedule was quite different from the regular routine, as I could attend school for only one day. On Monday, I had my 3rd semester university examination (EDU 12 – Learner in the Educational Perspectives ) so I was unable to go to school. The day was fully dedicated to the exam preparations and completion of the university exam. On Tuesday, it was the last working day before the Christmas holidays, and the school had the final examination day. I was assigned exam duties in both the morning and afternoon sessions. I responsibly carried out the duties , monitored students, and ensured a smooth and fair examination environment. After the completion of the exam, the school officially began its Christmas vacation. From Wednesday onwards, the school remained closed for the Christmas holidays, and therefore, I did not have any academic or classroom responsibilities for the remaining days of the week. Overall, although it was a short school week, I effectively fulfilled the respons...
