As a student of Jameela Bheevi BEd College, Kayamkulam, I had the privilege to participate in a school induction programme at St. John’s HSS from August 12 to August 16. This five-day immersive experience was a significant milestone in my journey toward becoming an educator.😊




The programme gave us firsthand exposure to the real dynamics of a school environment. We observed classroom teaching techniques, interacted with experienced teachers, and learned how to manage diverse groups of students effectively. It was enlightening to see how lesson plans translated into engaging classroom activities and how teachers addressed the needs of each student

Beyond classroom observation, we had opportunities to assist in organizing co-curricular activities, helping us understand the holistic development of students. The warmth and cooperation from the staff and students at St. John’s HSS made this experience even more enriching.

This induction not only strengthened my understanding of the teaching profession but also inspired me to approach my future role with dedication and empathy. It was a week of learning, growth, and reflection, and I am grateful for this invaluable opportunity provided by Jameela Bheevi BEd College.

As a B.Ed. teacher trainee, one of the most awaited milestones in our course is Teaching Practice —the moment when we step into real classrooms, not as students, but as teachers. On the morning of April 27, we arrived at the misty hill station of Kodaikanal. The serene landscapes and cool climate refreshed us instantly. We visited the famous Kodaikanal Lake, enjoyed cycling and boating, and explored breathtaking spots like the Guna Caves and the surrounding mountains. Nature was at its best, and we soaked in every view. In the evening, we gathered for a lively campfire, where music, dance, and laughter brought us all closer. We stayed the night in Kodaikanal, cherishing the warmth of friendship and the chill of the hills.
