π️ Fourth Week of Teaching Practice – PHASE I (August 4–8, 2025)
The fourth week of teaching practice was an engaging blend of academic responsibilities and school-based duties. From managing substitution classes to assisting with PTA meetings and the Mid-Day Meal Programme, every day added a layer of real-world experience to our
training.
πAugust 4, 2025 – Reflection and Reinforcement
As the week began, the day quickly turned hectic with back-to-back substitution periods across Classes V to IX. Despite the packed schedule, I managed to take my allotted class during the sixth period. Since I had already completed the first chapter, I used this time to engage students in post-lesson activities, reinforcing key takeaways. The school concluded at 4:00 p.m., marking the end of a demanding but productive day.
π²August 5, 2025 – Serving and Sharing Knowledge
The second day continued with multiple substitutions, adding to the usual rhythm of school life. I had my regular class during the fourth period, where I provided notes to the students to support their understanding of the chapter. In addition, we participated in serving lunch as part of the Mid-Day Meal Programme. All together, it was a good day and the school concluded at 4:00 p.m.
✨August 6, 2025 – Wrapping Up and Looking Ahead
On Wednesday, alongside substitution duties, I had my regular class during the seventh period. I introduced new chapter 'pressure' by providing the notes, helping to consolidate the students’ understanding of the topics . It was satisfying to complete the topic 'pressure' with clarity and ensure students were well-prepared to move forward. The day ended as usual at 4:00 p.m.
πAugust 7, 2025 – Teaching Amidst PTA Duties
Today was PTA day for Classes VIII and IX, which brought additional administrative responsibilities. We guided parents to their venues, managed meeting logistics, and helped record minutes. Despite the busyness, I had my third-period class and an additional free period during the fourth hour, which I utilized to introduce a new chapter and complete two lesson plans. The day was a balanced mix of classroom engagement and school service.
π©πΎπ«August 8, 2025 – A Day of Progress and Purpose
The week wrapped up with another PTA day—this time for Class X. Along with our usual substitution duties, we assisted in organizing the meeting and later helped serve lunch under the Mid-Day Meal Programme. I had my regular class during the third period and used a free fourth period to continue with the new chapter, 'Elements and compounds' progressing through a few more topics in elements and compounds Before the day ended, we coordinated student dispersal to ensure a smooth close to the school day.
This week offered a comprehensive look into the multitasking life of a teacher. From lesson delivery and content reinforcement to administrative participation in PTA meetings and meal programs, each day provided valuable lessons in responsibility, flexibility, and time management. These experiences have not only enhanced my confidence in the classroom but also deepened my understanding of the wider role educators play in shaping and supporting the school community.
