📝Third Week of Teaching Practice – PHASE I(July 28 – August 1, 2025)


This week marked one of the busiest phases of our teaching practice so far. With a full week of classes, observation sessions from our college faculty, and extra responsibilities at school, it was both a demanding and rewarding experience. Each day brought with it opportunities to grow — not only as a teacher, but also as a team member, mentor, and learner.

✨July 28, 2025 – Serving with Purpose

The week began with a flurry of activity. The school had organized an eye check-up camp, and we, the teacher trainees, volunteered during the first half of the day to help coordinate and assist. It was a meaningful experience to be part of something that directly supported student well-being.

During the lunch break, we took part in the Mid-Day Meal Programme by serving food to the students — a gesture that helped build closer connections with them.afternoon was filled with exam duties and substitution. Despite the day's busyness, I felt accomplished and connected both in and out of the classroom.



👩🏾‍🏫July 29, 2025 – Under the Eyes That Guide

This day had us all a little nervous — it was our physical science optional observation day. Our optional teacher and general teacher visited to observe and assess our classes. Hanan took her session during the second period, followed by mine in the third period, and Parvathy's during the fourth.

Though I felt a wave of nervousness just before starting, I centered myself with a moment of quiet confidence. Once I stepped into the classroom, everything fell into place. The session went smoothly, and the students responded with interest and cooperation. Afterward, our teacher provided constructive feedback, offering helpful suggestions and motivating us with her kind words. It was a day of growth, and one I’ll remember as a turning point in my teaching journey.

💫July 30,2025 - A Busy Day 

This day is filled with substitution and at 3rd period I met with my class and take a small topic on 'way to reduce friction' and give some notes corresponding to that chapter.during my class srenu teacher observed my class and give  a positive feedback hence I feel confidence in myself.after 5th period I once again got a class in 8B and shuja miss observe my class and gave suggestions to improve my class.although it was a hectic day ,but I felt confident in myself.☺️


🌿July 31, 2025 – Going Beyond the Plan

While our peers from the English options had their observation classes, the rest of us handled regular and substitution periods. I had a free third period that time I used to writes my pending records and daily reflection .

🌧️August 1, 2025 – Rain, Rhythm, and Reflection

The week came to a peaceful close under cloudy skies and gentle rain. The calm weather seemed to echo a sense of quiet confidence that had built up over the days. I was given substitution responsibilities.

By the end of the week, exhaustion blended with a deep sense of satisfaction. Whether through observation, substitutions, or the simple act of sharing a lunch break with students, I found meaning in each moment. The challenges were real, but so was the growth.

As a B.Ed. teacher trainee, one of the most awaited milestones in our course is Teaching Practice —the moment when we step into real classrooms, not as students, but as teachers. That moment finally arrived for me on July 16, 2025. I was allotted to St. Johns Higher Secondary School , Mattom, along with six fellow trainees. Our group included:  Hannan, and Parvathy S. 🌄🥶🥶🥶Day 2 @ Kodaikanal: Hills, Lakes & Campfire

On the morning of April 27, we arrived at the misty hill station of Kodaikanal. The serene landscapes and cool climate refreshed us instantly. We visited the famous Kodaikanal Lake, enjoyed cycling and boating, and explored breathtaking spots like the Guna Caves and the surrounding mountains. Nature was at its best, and we soaked in every view. In the evening, we gathered for a lively campfire, where music, dance, and laughter brought us all closer. We stayed the night in Kodaikanal, cherishing the warmth of friendship and the chill of the hills.

✨ Eighth Week of Teaching Practice – PHASE I (September 8–12, 2025)

The calm of the break is over, and the chaos resumes🌼 School reopened on Monday, 8th September 2025, after the Onam holidays Teachers welcomed the students back with an assembly, though attendance was quite low. On Tuesday, we had a regional holiday for the boat race  The rest of the week went by in the usual rush of substitution duties. Teachers distributed the exam answer sheets  I wasn’t very satisfied with my students’ performance — most of them struggled mainly due to lack of time during the exam ... A retest was scheduled for those who scored poorly. I made sure to help my students during free hours and class time to clear their doubts and prepare them better.
